# How to Edit Plan Duration in Bizplan?

## Where do I edit the plan duration settings on Bizplan? What steps do I take to update my plan’s timeframe in Bizplan? How can I change the duration of my plan in Bizplan?

Your **Plan Duration** determines the number of years your financial projections will cover. Adjusting this setting helps tailor your model to short- or long-term planning goals depending on your startup’s needs.

### **Steps to Change the Plan Duration**

1. [**Log in**](https://help.startups.com/knowledge/how-do-i-log-in-to-bizplan?hsLang=en) to your Bizplan account.
2. In the left-hand menu, click on **Finance**.
3. Click the **Settings** tab (gear icon) in the top-right corner of the screen.
4. In the **Plan Basics** section, locate the **Plan Duration** field.
5. Click into the field and enter a number between **1 and 5** (representing the number of years you want your plan to cover).
6. Click **Save** when prompted and wait for the page to refresh with your updated planning period.

### **Important Notes**

- The maximum plan duration is **5 years**.
- Changing the duration adjusts the length of time covered in your financial reports and forecasts.
- You can update this setting anytime as your planning horizon evolves.
