# How to Edit the Customers Chapter in My Business Plan?

## Where do I go to edit customer information in my Bizplan? What steps do I follow to revise the customers chapter of my business plan? How can I update the customer profile chapter in Bizplan?

The **Customers** chapter helps you clearly identify who your business serves. Investors want to see that you understand your customer segments and their behaviors — including how they make decisions, what problems they’re trying to solve, and what they value most. This chapter shows that you’ve done the homework to match your product with a real demand.

### Steps to Edit the Customers Chapter

1. [**Log in**](https://help.startups.com/knowledge/how-do-i-log-in-to-bizplan?hsLang=en) to your Bizplan account.
2. From the left-hand menu, click on **Business Plan**.
3. In the Setup sidebar, select **Customers**.
4. In the **Customer Overview** field, write a summary of your target segments. Be sure to include:
   
     - The different **segments of customers** you plan to serve
     - How you'll identify each segment (demographics, behaviors, needs, etc.)
     - Their **goals**, typical **decision-making process**, and current **satisfaction** with existing solutions
     - Any **price sensitivity** or other barriers to adoption
     - Which segment is your **primary focus**, and which are secondary
5. Use the formatting toolbar to organize your content using **headings**, **bullet points**, and **bold text** as needed.
6. Your work will **automatically save**, as indicated by the “Saved” message in the top-right corner of the screen.
