# How to Edit the Market Chapter in My Business Plan?

## Where do I go to edit the market details in Bizplan? What steps do I follow to revise the market chapter of my business plan? How can I update the market analysis chapter in Bizplan?

The **Market** chapter of your Business Plan helps explain the scale, structure, and demand for your product or service. It includes areas to define your opportunity, quantify your market, and highlight trends that support your growth strategy. This is where investors look to understand how big your opportunity really is, and how well you understand it.

### Steps to Edit the Market Chapter

1. [**Log in**](https://help.startups.com/knowledge/how-do-i-log-in-to-bizplan?hsLang=en) to your Bizplan account.
2. From the left-hand menu, click on **Business Plan**.
3. In the Setup sidebar, select **Market**.
4. Complete the three sections provided:
   
     - **Market Opportunity**  
       Use this space to describe your target market and key segments. Highlight the size and recent growth of this market, and explain why now is the right time to enter. Avoid vague statements and back your claims with data where possible.
     - **Market Size**  
       Fill in the fields for:
       
           - **Total Addressable Market (TAM):** The broadest possible market.
           - **Target Market (TM):** The segment you can effectively pursue.
           - **Obtainable Market (OM):** The realistic short-term share you expect to capture.  
             These values will be visualized as a set of nested circles to help tell the scale story.
     - **Market Trends**  
       Describe economic, regulatory, or technological trends that impact your industry. Include statistics or forecasts where available to show momentum or direction in your space.
5. Your changes will **automatically save**, as indicated by the "Saved" prompt in the top-right corner.
