How do I generate an app password for Yahoo Mail?

You must have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on your Yahoo account before you can generate an app password. Once 2FA is enabled, you can generate an app password to connect your Yahoo email to Investor Matching. 

An app password is a 16-character code generated by Yahoo that allows Investor Matching to connect to your email without using your regular Yahoo account password.

How to Generate a Yahoo App Password

1. Sign in to your Yahoo Account Security page.
2. Under External connections, click Create app password.
3. Enter an app name, such as Investor Matching.
4. Click Generate password.
5. Copy the 16-character app password provided by Yahoo.
6. Use this password when connecting your Yahoo email to Investor Matching.

What Should I Enter in Investor Matching?

When connecting your Yahoo email:

• Enter your regular Yahoo email address.
• Enter the 16-character app password instead of your normal Yahoo password.
