# HostGator: A Record Instructions

### Editing your A Record points your base domain (e.g. yoursite.com) to your LaunchRock page.

1. Log into your Plesk account page 
2. Click on **Domains** and 
3. Click on the domain name you wish to edit. 
4. Click the **Web Site** menu and select **DNS Settings.** 
5. Click on the A record to edit 
6. Leave the **""Record type""** as A 
7. In the **Enter a domain name** field enter your subdomain for example yoursite.com, enter signup in the field. 
8. In the **Enter IP Address** field, enter 54.243.190.28 
9. Click **OK.**

**Note:** To increase reliability you should create four A records and point each one to a different LaunchRock IP address:

- 54.243.190.28
- 54.243.190.39
- 54.243.190.47
- 54.243.190.54

 Congratulations! Your A record is now configured to point to LaunchRock.

**A CNAME record is required for your hosted Landing Page. Create your HostGator CNAME record.**
