What Information Can I Find on a Member’s Profile in the Member Matching Feature?

Does the member profile include work history? Why do some member profiles contain more information than others?

Member profiles in the Member Matching feature are organized into five main sections to help you quickly learn more about another member’s background, business, and expertise.

Note: All profile information is voluntarily provided by the member and may vary based on how much information they choose to share.


1. Overview

The Overview section gives you a quick snapshot of the member, including:

  • Name and profile photo
  • Professional headline or summary
  • Location
  • Company
  • Industry
  • Messaging option to contact the member

This section helps you quickly understand who the member is and what they do.


2. About

The About section provides a more detailed professional biography.

You may find information such as:

  • Career background
  • Industry experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Education and certifications
  • Professional accomplishments
  • Areas of focus and expertise

This section gives additional context about the member’s professional journey.


3. Company

The Company section highlights information about the member’s business or organization.

This may include:

  • Company name
  • Elevator pitch or company description
  • Website
  • Industry
  • Team size
  • Funding stage
  • Funding raised
  • Annual revenue range

This section helps members better understand the company behind the profile.


4. Skills

The Skills section showcases the member’s areas of expertise and professional strengths.

You may see:

  • Core skills
  • Skill ratings or strengths
  • Industry expertise
  • Experience summaries tied to each skill

This section helps identify how the member may be able to support, advise, or collaborate with others.


5. Experience

The Experience section displays the member’s professional and educational history.

This may include:

  • Previous positions
  • Companies worked for
  • Job titles
  • Position descriptions
  • Accomplishments
  • Certifications
  • Educational background

This section provides a deeper look into the member’s experience and qualifications.
