Yes — you can absolutely customize and expand the categories (industries, locations, and more) that the AI initially selected for your investor matching search. The AI gives you a strong starting point, but you’re in full control to refine and improve your targeting.

Where do I update my investor search settings?

1. Go to the Investor Matching fundraise profile you want to update
2. Click Email & Settings in the left sidebar
3. Open Search Settings

This is where you can adjust everything related to how investors are matched to your startup.

What can I customize?

Inside Search Settings, you can update the following:

1. Upload or Replace Your Pitch Deck

• The AI uses your pitch deck (or uploaded document) to generate matches and outreach
• You can upload a new version anytime to improve results

2. Startup Name

• Edit how your company appears to investors

3. Fundraising Goal

• Update how much you’re looking to raise

4. Elevator Pitch

• Refine your short description to better reflect your startup

Can I add or change industries/categories?

Yes — this is exactly where you can expand beyond AI defaults.

Industries / Verticals

• Click into the Industries/Verticals field
• Search and select additional industries that apply to your business
• You are not limited to the AI’s initial selections

Prioritize This Location

• Add geographic regions where you want to prioritize investor matches
• This helps surface investors who are more likely to invest in your region

Don’t forget to save your changes

• Click Update & Refresh

• Refresh your results based on your new criteria
