What should I do if my email to a contact fails — can I try other recipients?

How do I resend an email to alternative contacts after a delivery failure?

On occasion, an email you send to a match may bounce if their address is no longer active. All contacts in the Investor Matching tool are vetted, but in rare cases, a match may leave their company, take on a new role, or change their investment focus.

If this happens, you can still connect with other potential contacts by selecting additional matches from your list and sending your message directly through the platform.


Step 1 — Open the Message Composer

Click Send PitchCompose a Message.
The first contact in your list will automatically appear as the recipient.


Step 2 — Remove the Bounced Contact

If that contact’s email bounced, click the X next to their name to remove them.


Step 3 — Choose a New Recipient

Once the bounced contact is removed, the rest of your match list will appear.
Select the next recipient you’d like to contact.


Step 4 — Send Your Message

Review your message before hitting the send button below.
