How Can I Use the "Send Messages" Filters to Track Investor Outreach?

Where do I find the messages I drafted but didn’t send? What’s the easiest way to track investors who replied to me?

The Send Messages section in Investor Matching helps you manage and organize your communication with investors. To make this easier, the platform provides a filtering dropdown menu that allows you to quickly see the status of your outreach efforts.

Why Use Filters?

When reaching out to many investors, it can be hard to remember who you’ve already contacted, who still needs a message, or which investors have replied. The filters simplify this process by categorizing your messages, so you can focus on the right next steps.

Available Filter Options

The dropdown menu in Send Messages provides the following categories:

  • All – Shows every investor contact regardless of message status.

  • Not Contacted – Displays investors you haven’t reached out to yet.

  • Draft Messages – Shows messages you’ve started but haven’t sent.

  • Scheduled Messages – Lists messages that are scheduled to be sent at a future time.

  • Sent Messages – Displays investors you’ve already contacted.

  • Viewed Message – Highlights investors who have opened your message.

  • Clicked Message – Tracks investors who clicked on a link within your message.

  • Replied to Message – Shows investors who have responded to your outreach.

How This Helps You

By using these filters, you can:

  • Stay organized – Always know where each investor stands in your outreach.

  • Save time – Quickly find contacts who need follow-ups or reminders.

  • Improve targeting – Focus on investors who have shown engagement (clicked or replied).

Best Practices

  • Check Not Contacted first to ensure no opportunities are missed.

  • Use Viewed and Clicked filters to prioritize follow-up with engaged investors.

  • Keep track of conversations in Replied to Message to build stronger relationships.
