How do I set up my Private Email email account?

What SMTP/IMAP settings should I use for Private Email? How do I manually configure a Private Email account?

If your email is hosted with Private Email, follow the steps below to connect your mailbox to Startups.com.

Step 1: Select your email provider

Under Email Provider, select Other, then click Apply.

Note: Private Email is not listed as a dedicated provider, so it should be configured using the Other option.

Step 2: Configure the SMTP (Outgoing) settings

SMTP Server Host mail.privateemail.com
Port 465
Username Your full email address
Password Your email account password
Security Type SSL

Step 3: Configure the IMAP (Incoming) settings

IMAP Server Host mail.privateemail.com
Port 993
Username Your full email address

Step 4: Save your settings

After entering the details above, save the configuration and allow the delivery test to complete. If the settings are correct, your email account should connect successfully.
