How to Manually Enter Sales Volume in a Revenue Stream?

Where do I go to manually enter sales volume data in a revenue stream? What steps do I follow to set sales volume manually for a revenue stream in Bizplan? How can I manually input sales volume for a revenue stream in my financials?

In Bizplan, revenue streams can be forecasted using either an automated or manual approach. If your business needs a more granular control over monthly sales projections, you can manually enter sales volume for each month.

Steps to Enter Sales Volume Manually

  1. Go to the Revenue Stream

    • Log in to your account and navigate to the Finance section in the builder.

    • Click the Revenue tab and open the revenue stream you want to edit.

  2. Disable the Automated Toggle

    • Locate the Revenue Forecaster section.

    • Switch the Automated toggle off to switch from automated forecasting to manual entry.

  3. Enter Sales Volume Data

    • A table will appear below the toggle displaying monthly fields.

    • Manually enter the number of units you expect to sell for each month in the respective year and month cells.

  4. Review and Save

    • Once you’ve entered the necessary data, scroll down and click the Save button to apply changes to your financial projections.

Notes

  • Manual input is ideal if your sales vary significantly month-to-month or do not follow a predictable growth pattern.

  • Switching from automated to manual will override automated projections for that revenue stream.

  • You can switch back to the automated option at any time if you want Bizplan to calculate future volumes based on the settings.
