Where do I go to manually enter sales volume data in a revenue stream? What steps do I follow to set sales volume manually for a revenue stream in Bizplan? How can I manually input sales volume for a revenue stream in my financials?
In Bizplan, revenue streams can be forecasted using either an automated or manual approach. If your business needs a more granular control over monthly sales projections, you can manually enter sales volume for each month.
Steps to Enter Sales Volume Manually
-
Go to the Revenue Stream
-
Log in to your account and navigate to the Finance section in the builder.
-
Click the Revenue tab and open the revenue stream you want to edit.
-
-
Disable the Automated Toggle
-
Locate the Revenue Forecaster section.
-
Switch the Automated toggle off to switch from automated forecasting to manual entry.
-
-
Enter Sales Volume Data
-
A table will appear below the toggle displaying monthly fields.
-
Manually enter the number of units you expect to sell for each month in the respective year and month cells.
-
-
Review and Save
-
Once you’ve entered the necessary data, scroll down and click the Save button to apply changes to your financial projections.
-
Notes
-
Manual input is ideal if your sales vary significantly month-to-month or do not follow a predictable growth pattern.
-
Switching from automated to manual will override automated projections for that revenue stream.
-
You can switch back to the automated option at any time if you want Bizplan to calculate future volumes based on the settings.
