How Do I Use the Finance Dashboard in Bizplan?

The Finance Dashboard in Bizplan provides a visual overview of your company’s financial performance. It automatically displays past, present, and upcoming financial data to help you track your runway, monitor margins, and anticipate when you’ll break even.

Steps to Access the Finance Dashboard

1. Log in to your account and go to the builder.

2. Click on Finance from the left-hand navigation menu.

3. Select the Dashboard tab at the top of the Finance page.

Key Dashboard Features

Available Cash

• Shows your current cash position compared to upcoming expenses.

• Visualizes months of runway based on cash flow forecasts.

Revenue

• Displays data from the past 2 months, the current month, and the next 3 months.

• Automatically updates based on your revenue inputs and projections.

Expenses

• Similar to Revenue, this section displays past, current, and future expense data.

• Helps track cost trends and upcoming obligations.

Gross Margin

• Compares projected vs. actual gross margin to monitor profitability.

• A dotted line represents projections, while a yellow line reflects actual results.

• Displays data for the past 5 months, current month, and next 6 months.

Working Capital

• Evaluates financial health by comparing assets to liabilities.

• Includes the Current Ratio and Quick Ratio for the current month.

• This chart is based on projected data only.

Breakeven

• Tracks when your business is expected to reach breakeven.

• A target icon marks the first month where revenue is projected to meet or exceed expenses.

• If breakeven hasn’t been reached yet, the chart shows how many months remain until the target is hit.

• This chart also uses projected data only.

Notes

• The dashboard dynamically updates with your input across all Finance sections.

• All projections are aligned with your selected financial timeframe.
