The Funding section in Bizplan allows you to enter and manage funding sources such as owner contributions, equity investments, or debt. These entries factor into your working capital, equity, and return projections across the financial dashboard and reports.
Steps to Add Capital Funding

Log in to your account and go to the builder.

Click on Finance from the left-hand menu, then select the Capital tab at the top.

Scroll down to the Funding section and click + Add Funding.

Fill in the required fields:

Nickname – Enter a label to describe the funding source (e.g., “Seed Round” or “Owner Loan”).

Funding Type – Select one of the following:

Owner’s Contribution

Common Stock
-
Preferred Stock
-
Debt
-

Amount – Enter the total dollar amount of the funding.

Date – Choose the month and year the funding will be received.

Annual Interest – (Only applies to debt) Enter the interest rate, if applicable.

Duration – (Only applies to debt) Set the repayment term in months or years.

Status – Check the box to mark the funding as active.

Click Save to finalize the entry.
