# How Do I Edit or Update My Basic Information on Clarity?

## Where can I update my bio or mini-resume on Clarity? How do I update my name on my Clarity profile? How do I edit my email address or phone number on Clarity?

You can easily update your Clarity.fm account's basic information—such as your name, username, short bio, mini resume, email address, phone number, location, and time zone—from your account settings. Keeping this information up to date ensures your profile appears professional and accurate to those seeking your expertise.

### 🔧 How to Edit Your Basic Information

#### **Manual Navigation**

1. Click on **"Me"** in the top-right corner of your screen.
2. Select **"Edit Profile"** from the dropdown menu.
3. Choose the **"Basic Information"** tab on the left.

### 📝 Descriptions of Each Field

Here’s what you can update in the **Basic Information** section and what each field means:

- **Full Name**  
  This is your public-facing name shown on your Clarity profile. Use your real name to help establish credibility with callers.
- **Username**  
  Your unique Clarity handle (e.g., `clarity.fm/janedoe`). It’s part of your profile URL and can be shared for bookings.
- **Short Bio**  
  A brief, one-liner introduction or tagline. This appears prominently on your profile and is meant to quickly summarize who you are.
- **Mini Resume**  
  A longer section where you can summarize your background, credentials, accomplishments, or what value you bring to consultations. Think of this as your elevator pitch.
- **Email Address**  
  Used for account notifications and communication. This is not publicly displayed but should be kept current to ensure you receive booking alerts and updates.
- **Phone Number**  
  Required for doing calls via Clarity. Your number is kept private, but it must be valid and verified.
- **Location (City, State)**  
  Your geographic location helps users see your time zone context and can lend local credibility. Displayed on your public profile.
- **Time Zone**  
  Determines your availability calendar and helps synchronize call times between you and potential clients.

👉 **Important**: Always **click "Save Changes"** after editing any field to ensure your updates are applied.
