Can I turn off notifications for member matching only?
You can manage all of your email alert preferences in the Notifications section, where you can adjust settings for chat messages, member and investor match updates, and the email associated with your account. You can access it here: https://www.startups.com/account/notifications
Message Notifications
These settings control whether you receive email alerts for new chat messages from other members.
How it works

When Message Notifications are turned ON, you’ll receive an email whenever someone sends you a new, unread message.

You can toggle this on or off using the switch on the right side of the Message Notifications section.
Member Match Notifications
If you have active Member Searches, Startups.com will send weekly email updates with new member matches.
What you’ll see

A list of all active member searches you’ve created.

Each search displays:

A View link to open or edit the search details

Just like Member Match Notifications, you can turn notifications ON or OFF for each one.
Change Email
At the bottom of the page, you can update the email used for all notifications.
How to change your email

Enter your new email address in the provided field.

If prompted, complete email confirmation steps.

Click Save Email to update.
Once updated, all notifications—including match alerts and message updates—will be sent to this new email address.
Tips & Best Practices

Keep notifications turned ON for searches you are actively working on.

If you're receiving too many emails, toggle OFF individual searches rather than all notifications.
