How Do I Re-Send Failed Messages in Investor Matching?

Where do I go to re-send messages that didn’t go through in Investor Matching? What steps do I follow to resend a failed message to an investor?

If your message to an investor fails to send, don’t worry — you can quickly resend it right from your dashboard. Investor Matching lets you review the error and retry sending with just one click.


Steps to Re-Send a Failed Message

  1. Open the Activity & Replies Section

    • Log in to your Startups.com account.

    • On the left sidebar, click Activity & Replies under Investor Matching & Outreach.

  2. Locate the Failed Message

    • Find the investor entry labeled SEND FAILED in red.

    • You’ll see two options below it: View Error and Try Again.

  3. Click Try Again

    • Select Try Again to bring up a pop-up window that shows the reason the message failed.

    • Review the error message details (e.g., authentication errors, misconfigured email settings).

  4. Click Retry Send

    • In the pop-up, click the orange Retry Send button to attempt delivery again.

    • If the underlying issue is resolved, the message will send successfully.
