What steps do I follow to follow up with an investor in Investor Matching? Where do I go to write and send a follow-up email in the Investor Matching?

Investor Matching doesn’t currently have a built-in option to send follow-up messages from the dashboard — but sending a follow-up is still simple and effective using your connected email account.


Steps to Send a Follow-Up Email

  1. Go to Your Sent Folder

    • Open the email account you connected to Investor Matching.

    • Navigate to your Sent folder to locate the original message sent to the investor.

  2. Forward the Original Email

    • Click Forward on the original email.

    • This will preserve your original message and provide context for the investor.

  3. Add Your Follow-Up Note

    • At the top of the forwarded message, include a brief and polite follow-up message.

    • Example:
      “Just checking in to see if you had a chance to review the message I sent last week. Happy to provide more info or answer any questions!”

  4. Send the Follow-Up

    • Verify that the recipient's email address matches the investor's.

    • Click Send to deliver your follow-up.

  • All messages sent from Investor Matching are fully synced with your email account.

  • You can reply or follow up directly with investors using your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, etc.).

  • Sending a follow-up from your personal inbox helps maintain the original thread for context.
