      How Do I Use the “Build Your Pitch” Section?

      Where do I go to write and refine my pitch in the Investor Matching platform? What steps do I follow to fill out the 'Build Your Pitch' section?

      The Build Your Pitch section helps you craft a professional, compelling message to investors using an AI-powered builder. It’s designed to walk you through key parts of your fundraising story, which are then assembled into a preview email ready to send.

      Steps to Build Your Pitch

      1. Upload Your Pitch Deck (optional)
      At the top of the page, you can upload your pitch deck or a document about your startup. Click “Analyze my Pitch Deck” and our AI will use the content to help generate your pitch message automatically.

      2. Fill Out “The Basics” Section
      You’ll be asked for the following information:

      • Company Name

      • Website URL

      • Elevator Pitch — A short summary of your startup’s mission or value proposition.

      Click “Save & Continue” when finished.

      3. Fill Out the “Pitch” Section
      This section walks through the problem you’re solving, your solution, and the size of the market opportunity:

      • Problem Statement

      • Solution Overview

      • Market Size
        Each entry dynamically updates the draft message preview on the right side of your screen.

      4. Fill Out the “Traction” Section
      Highlight metrics and achievements like customer growth, market adoption, or partnerships. This adds credibility and social proof to your message.

      5. Fill Out the “Funding Ask” Section
      Specify your:

      • Funding Goal

      • Fundraising Stage

      • Preferred Deal Structure (e.g., SAFE, Equity, Convertible Note)

      6. Add Message Options
      Customize your email signature and give the AI specific instructions for tone, length, or phrasing via:

      • Signature Block

      • Additional Instructions

      7. Preview and Finalize Your Message
      As you complete each section, the AI-generated message on the right is updated in real time. Once everything looks good, you can:

      • Click “Suggest Edits” to instruct the AI to revise it.

      • Use “Regenerate” to recreate the email.

      • Proceed by clicking “Start Sending” to reach out to investors.

      Notes

      • You can jump back and forth between sections.

      • The message preview is continuously updated based on your inputs.

      • You are free to manually edit the message body before sending.

      • Uploading a pitch deck is optional, but it helps the AI craft a more tailored message.
