How to Edit the Risk Section on Bizplan?

Where do I go to edit potential risks or challenges in Bizplan? What steps do I follow to revise the risk analysis section in Bizplan? How can I update the risk section of my business plan in Bizplan?

The Risk section helps demonstrate that you understand the potential threats to your business and have a plan to manage them. Investors expect Founders to be aware of what could go wrong — and even more importantly, to show how they’re preparing for it. This section allows you to present both your risk awareness and strategic foresight.

Steps to Edit the Risk Section

  1. Log in to your Bizplan account.

  2. From the left-hand menu, click on Business Plan.

  3. In the Setup sidebar, select Risk.

  4. Fill in the two core areas of the section:

    • Key Risks
Describe the major risks your company might face. These can come from areas like:

      • Market conditions

      • Technology

      • Competition

      • Operations

      • Finance

      • Legal or regulatory issues
For each risk, explain its likelihood, potential impact, and your mitigation strategy — what steps you’ll take to avoid or manage it.

    • Critical Success Factors (CSFs)
Identify the areas your company must absolutely get right to succeed. These are the things you must perform well to stay competitive and achieve your goals. For each CSF, briefly describe why it’s essential and how you’ll measure success.

  5. Use formatting tools to make your content clear and scannable with headings, bullet points, and bold text.

  6. All content is automatically saved — look for the “Saved” prompt in the top-right corner.
