Where do I set the number of days outstanding in my Bizplan projections? What steps do I take to configure days outstanding in Bizplan? How can I adjust the days outstanding for receivables in Bizplan?
The Days Outstanding field represents the average number of days it takes for your customers to pay invoices after a sale is made. This value helps Bizplan calculate your cash inflows more accurately, based on delayed revenue collection.
Steps to Set or Edit Days Outstanding
-
Log in to your Bizplan account.
-
From the left-hand menu, click on Finance.
-
Select the Settings tab (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
-
Scroll down to the Accounts Receivable section.
-
In the Days Outstanding field, enter the average number of days it takes your customers to pay.
-
Click Save and wait for the page to refresh.
Important Notes
-
A typical range for Days Outstanding is 30–60 days, depending on your payment terms.
-
Lower numbers indicate faster collection and improved cash flow; higher numbers reflect longer payment cycles.
-
Adjusting this field updates how revenue flows into your forecasted cash balance.
