# How to Set Days Outstanding in Bizplan (Accounts Payable)?

## Where do I update the receivables collection period in Bizplan? What steps do I take to configure days outstanding in my financial plan on Bizplan? How can I set or adjust the days outstanding for accounts receivable in Bizplan?

The **Days Outstanding** setting under Accounts Payable reflects the average number of days it takes your business to pay vendors for purchases made on credit. This value directly impacts your projected cash flow by defining when expenses are actually paid.

### **Steps to Set or Edit Days Outstanding**

1. [**Log in**](https://help.startups.com/knowledge/how-do-i-log-in-to-bizplan?hsLang=en) to your Bizplan account.
2. In the left-hand menu, click on **Finance**.
3. Click the **Settings** tab (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
4. Scroll down to the **Accounts Payable** section.
5. In the **Days Outstanding** field, enter the average number of days it takes your business to pay invoices.
6. Click Save and wait for the page to refresh.

- This value should reflect your actual payment terms with vendors or suppliers.
- A longer payment period improves short-term cash flow but may affect supplier relationships.
- Common entries range from **15 to 60 days**, depending on your vendor agreements.
