Bluehost: A Record Instructions

"

Editing your Bluehost A Record points your base domain (e.g. yoursite.com) to your LaunchRock page.

  1. Log into the cPanel at login.bluehost.com.
  2. Select the DNS Zone Editor icon in the Domains section.
  3. Select the domain you're modifying from the drop-down box.
  4. Scroll down to the heading named Add DNS Record
  5. In the Name field, enter ""@"" to represent your base domain.
  6. Leave the TTL field at it's default setting.
  7. Select A record in the Type drop-down menu.
  8. In the Address field enter 54.243.190.39
  9. Be sure the settings are saved.

Note: To increase reliability you should create four A records and point each one to a different LaunchRock IP address:

    • 54.243.190.28
    • 54.243.190.39
    • 54.243.190.47
    • 54.243.190.54

Congratulations! Your A record is now configured to point to LaunchRock.

If you have trouble configuring your A records, you can check out the Bluehost tutorial page.  Or, view a sample message to use when you contact Bluehost for further assistance at their support page.

Creating an A Record is optional for Hosted Landing Pages but creating a CNAME is not. Create a Bluehost CNAME Record

Once you've modified your A records, it may take up to 72 hours for changes to update live.
