      Restricted CNAME Records

      My C records are not working

      We have restricted the use of the following CNAME records:

      e
      email
      ftp
      imap
      mail
      mobilemail
      pda
      pop
      smtp
      webmail
      www

      These CNAME records are restricted because they are commonly required by your hosting provider for essential applications like email. The www record, in particular, is restricted as it is best practice to specify the base domain for www—most registrars and hosting providers have already created this record by default.

       

      We require the use of a subdomain to ensure that your application is built on the base domain. This also allows us to redirect referral links to your base domain once your page is live.
